Exceptions to Privacy- Protected Health Information
Are you HIPAA compliant? Are you sure? There are situations that you can use or disclose Protected Health Information and you do not need a signed authorization to do so. Patients (or in some cases their caregivers) always have the Right of Access. Next, there are what are known as T-P-O exceptions.
